Meta launched Meta One globally on September 15, bringing paid subscription plans with additional features and higher AI usage across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI. Meta says the service launches with more than 50 features and has reached 15 million subscriptions and trials, a figure that includes the Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus plans introduced earlier this year. The company says the core experience across its apps and everyday Meta AI use will remain free. Meta One includes separate plans for individual users and AI users, as well as subscriptions aimed at creators and businesses. The plans add features ranging from Instagram customization and additional AI image and video generation to business tools such as analytics, scheduling and customer support. Meta says the service will also expand to products including Edits and its AI glasses.
What Meta One Costs, From $2.99 to $499 a Month
Meta One combines several subscription options with new plans that provide greater access to Meta’s AI tools. The company says more than 50 features are available across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI as the service rolls out globally.
On Instagram, the Plus plan adds custom fonts for direct messages and Stories, notifications when selected people view a Story and DM previews. Meta is also increasing access to AI tools such as Restyle on its bundled plans. Facebook Plus includes Messenger customization, additional Reels insights and Super Reactions for Reels and Feed posts.
WhatsApp Plus adds exclusive themes and icons, special-effect stickers and support for up to 20 pinned chats. Meta says it will also test chat and media backup storage and Focus Schedules on WhatsApp Plus. The Core and Premium plans add higher usage limits for some of Meta’s AI features. Subscribers can generate and edit images and create videos through Meta AI, with additional access to tools such as Restyle and Instagram voice effects. Meta says everyday Meta AI use will remain available without a subscription, while the paid plans provide greater access to its creative tools.
The individual plans are separate from Meta’s creator and business subscriptions, which focus on tools for managing accounts, publishing content and handling customers.

Creator Plans Charge for Features That Were Free
Meta One also includes separate plans for creators and businesses, with features focused on managing profiles, publishing content, understanding audiences and handling customer interactions. The Essential plan starts at $14.99 per month and includes an enhanced profile, a verified badge, impersonation protection and greater access to Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp. The Advanced plan starts at $49.99 a month, adding Story scheduling up to 30 days, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics and team account access without password sharing. Some of these, including organic post links and exportable analytics, were previously free or low-cost.
Higher Expert and Max plans start at $149 and $499 per month respectively and provide higher levels of feature access and Meta Business Agent capacity. Meta says pricing, benefits and availability can vary by region, app and account. For individual users, Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus cost $3.99 per month, while WhatsApp Plus costs $2.99. Meta One Core costs $7.99 per month and Premium costs $19.99 per month.

The company also plans to add further subscription features to products including Edits and its AI glasses. Meta stresses twice in its announcement that the free apps stay free and that Meta AI remains free for everyday use.
