Meltwater Launches Mira to Speed Up AI Media Monitoring

Meltwater, a global provider of media and social intelligence tools, has launched Mira, which is an AI-based assistant designed to help companies process online information more quickly and efficiently.

The new tool was introduced as part of the company’s 2025 Mid-Year Product Release.

According to the press release, Mira uses different generative AI and intelligent agents to analyze news and social media conversations.

It provides real-time information to users through a chat-based interface. This will replace time-consuming tasks like Boolean searches, dashboard navigation, and manual reporting.

How Meltwater’s New AI Tool Will Transform Media Tracking

Meltwater says Mira can perform work that normally takes hours or days in just minutes. The system draws from over a billion daily conversations across online platforms, then converts that data into recommendations and summaries to support decision-making.

Aditya Jami, Chief Technology Officer at Meltwater, said in an official press release, “Mira is powered by Meltwater’s industry-leading dataset, which analyzes over a billion conversations across news and social media daily. Using specialized AI agents, it then transforms that intelligence into clear guidance and recommendations, giving you a decisive, data-informed teammate at your fingertips”.

“Instead of forcing communicators to wrestle with data and dashboards, Mira surfaces context, insights, and recommended actions in seconds, with the security and governance you expect from Meltwater. It collapses days of analysis into a single conversation, giving every brand the strategic edge of a world-class analyst team,” he added further.

The launch comes at a time when marketing and communications teams face increasing pressure to monitor multiple channels.

According to Gartner, more than half of CMOs believe their current tools are too complex, which leads to inefficiencies and higher costs.

Tools like Mira will provide a competitive advantage to fast-moving sectors like cryptocurrency and blockchain.

For instance, Bitcoin’s market is highly reactive to FUD circulated through news, influencer comments, and online sentiment. A system that can identify early signals could help traders, exchanges, and crypto firms respond faster before it damages the market.

The company also introduced other tools in its latest product update. These include Meltwater Copilot. It brings AI assistance to apps like Microsoft Teams and Word.

It also introduced Explore+, which is a new analytics platform that offers unlimited search and deeper insights across social, news, and consumer data. The update also expands Meltwater’s coverage across emerging platforms like TikTok, Threads, and Bluesky.

“At Meltwater, we’re turning AI technology from tools into teammates to empower our customers with the team they need to excel at making smarter decisions, faster. Our latest innovations deliver sharper insights and real-time intelligence to your fingertips right when teams need them, making it easier to cut through the noise, respond with confidence, and stay ahead of what’s next,” said Chris Hackney, Chief Product Officer at Meltwater.
