The CES 2026 event is underway in Las Vegas, and has become a center stage for some of the biggest tech giants in the world to showcase what’s best they have to offer. AMD, short for Advanced Micro Devices, has kicked off this year’s CES with a narrative that AI is for everyone. Speaking of which, the company has announced its new lineup of AI processors because the technology is reshaping how a normal user would compute these days.
The Ryzen AI 400 Series Targeted Towards?
Among the ones unveiled is the AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processor, which according to the company offers 1.3x faster multitasking than the rivals. More importantly, these AI-powered PC chipsets are 1.7x faster when it comes to content creation. In other words, if you are a professional creator or content creator in general, Ryzen AI 400 Series is for you. Not to forget, there’s a Pro variant too.
Speaking of specs, the new chips come with 12 CPU Cores, individual processing units inside a core processor, and 24 threads, independent streams of instruction. For the uninitiated, this is an upgrade from Ryzen AI 300 Series, which AMD launched back in 2024. AMD, in its press release, states that “Systems powered by AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series and AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors will be available beginning Q1 2026 from major OEMs including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, GIGABYTE, and Lenovo. Desktops featuring the Ryzen AI 400 Series will be introduced later in Q2 2026.”
In addition to the above, AMD also released Ryzen 7 9850X3D. It’s the upgraded version or its gaming-centric processor. If you are into gaming, this might be the chipset you should keep an eye on. Not to forget, the company also announced the latest version of its Redstone ray tracing technology. Now, you must be wondering, what’s so interesting about it, right? Well, the latest tech simulates the physical behavior of light. As a result you get better video game graphics without a performance or speed lag. Worth noting that systems powered by AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D Series processors will be available from major OEMs, and SI and retail partners beginning Q1 2026.
