At the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2024, Aera Technology, a company branded as the Decision Intelligence Company, launched new generative AI features into its Aera Decision Cloud™ platform. This upgrade aims to go beyond AI-based decision-making automation for international companies. The AI-powered conversational interface triggers instant insights and recommendations that are customized to complex issues, shortens the decision-making process, and creates immense value. 

Aera Technology’s platform allows enterprises to grasp the whole business performance with up-to-date information and link decision-making across various functional areas. It enables businesses to forecast results and make quick and precise decisions. The real-time recommendations allow users to take immediate action through web, mobile, or voice interfaces, or the system will automatically execute their decisions. The system constantly learns and is able to keep a complete record with context for each decision so users can track and improve their decisions in the future. 

Shariq Mansoor, co-founder and CTO of Aera Technology stated that the incorporation of large language models strengthened the platform’s natural language capabilities. He stated that Aera collaborates with the organization in decision-making through its GenAI-powered system. He argued that users don’t have to be familiar with data names or hierarchies; furthermore, Aera facilitates guided conversations. The Aera Decision Cloud now has the following new GenAI capabilities:

  • True Conversational User Experience: This component allows Aera to create context-specific answers to natural language questions using voice or chat mediums, thus improving the interaction between the user and Aera, which is more intuitive and engaging.
  • Trusted Outcomes: Users are advised to look for biased, hallucination-free suggestions. Each proposition represents the data derived from the platform’s Decision Data Model™, which makes the system’s outputs more reliable and trustworthy.
  • Scalable Infrastructure: Aera provides scalable, extensible, and composable machine learning infrastructures. This infrastructure is based on a multi-agent paradigm, making it suitable for use with a variety of large language models (LLMs).
  • Secure Architecture: The platform guarantees the data to be secure and private, using a combination of LLMs and a properly developed access control system for protecting user data.
