Whop Says Businesses Using Economic Intelligence Grew Sales 31.8% Month Over Month. Here’s How It Works

Whop Economic Intelligence

Whop has launched Economic Intelligence, a layer inside its business platform that picks the action most likely to earn a business money next and, once the owner agrees, carries it out.

The technology firm unveiled this product along with rough beta stats collected from a pool of 14,905 companies on September 29. It makes sure to clarify what this product is and what it is not.

The launch takes place in a month filled with agents that perform actions on behalf of the user. However, the agent used by Whop is quite different from those of other personal assistants. This is because while it performs the task, the choice of performing the action is made based on how the firms within its network generate money.

Whop Economic Intelligence Feature Overview

What Economic Intelligence is Meant to Achieve

Whop begins by citing a stat and a gripe. According to the US, 65% of entrepreneurs looking to establish a venture do so through the use of artificial intelligence, and 46% of entrepreneurs do so to manage their existing venture, but according to the company, most of the AI provides general advice for all. The model can provide suggestions like posting on a consistent basis and conducting an advertising campaign. The AI does not have a sense of what is working for similar ventures, hence cannot determine what will earn the next dollar.

Economic Intelligence is Whop’s term for the context needed to fill that gap. The company describes it as a Whop-owned context, the knowledge of what successful businesses do at each step, in each vertical of the platform, from sellers of precious metals to personal dog trainers. Whop makes a clear distinction between Economic Intelligence and both the model and the agent. In the company’s words, the latter is merely an execution layer operating according to the principles of Economic Intelligence, while models are commoditized nowadays.

The recommendations produced include not only big structural changes but also little habits. For an existing business, the list includes optimization of the website and sales funnels using Whop Blueprints, price adjustment of products, starting ad campaigns via Whop Ads targeting high ROI, recovery of abandoned cart, reduction of churn with help of automated retargeting, and starting a weekly message to top customers. For a person without any business, Economic Intelligence can suggest creating one and building its website.

How the Recommended Actions and Whop AI Chat Function

The interface consists of a section called “Recommended for you” placed in the homepage of the Whop company under the balance field. For each suggested action, there is an expected value on hover, and there is an action history that illustrates the return on investment for the completed actions, and thus owners can evaluate its success rate and decide on the next action.

All suggestions remain inactive until the owner clicks on the action. Then the action is sent to Whop AI Chat, which asks clarifying questions when necessary, for example, what product is required, and the process begins. The acceptance of the recommendation allows Whop to perform the action independently of the owner. Developers may also connect to the Economic Intelligence via the API endpoint offered by Whop.

These beta numbers are rough estimates based on a set of 14,905 businesses using Economic Intelligence in one month compared to the previous month. The combined sales went up by 31.8%, unique paying customers by 26.3%, and transactions increased by 26.5%.

This new addition is part of the technology stack that Whop has been building this year. The company’s Whop CLI introduced in August allows the business owner and his AI agent to use the full API from the platform, and collaboration with SpaceXAI makes the service available in Grok and Cursor. The main idea behind the initiative is building the world’s first end-to-end API for running the business which is aimed at enabling sustainable income for all.

There is no separate landing page. Businesses can join the waitlist from the whop.com dashboard, and the full announcement is on the Whop blogWhop Economic Intelligence Feature Overview.
