Torq, a company known for automating security operations at scale, has quietly made a big move to stay ahead in the crowded cybersecurity space.
How Torq’s New AI Tools Make Security Work Easier
It has acquired Revrod, a low-profile Israeli AI startup, and integrated its advanced multi-agent RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology into the latest version of its flagship product, HyperSOC-2o.
The updated platform, which Torq is previewing at the RSA Conference later this month, security teams are overwhelmed by the volume and complexity of threats.
According to the official announcement, Torq claims HyperSOC-2o can help reduce investigation times by up to 90% and allow security teams to manage 3 to five times more alerts, without expanding headcount.
Revord, through operating under the radar, had built a strong reputation among AI experts for its work in large language model (LLM) workflows. It is backed by firms like Notable Capital and Tonic Ventures, and its entire engineering team has now joined Torq.
What sets HyperSOC-2o apart is a number of AI Agents focused on investigation, case management, automated workflows, and remediation. These agents do not just flag threats; they analyze them in context, trace their origins, and recommend tailored responses.
“With this acquisition, and based on enterprise customer feedback, we’re confident Torq is 1.5 years ahead of our competition in delivering true autonomy for security operations,” Ofer Smadari, CEO and co-founder, Torq, said. “Revrod’s technology fundamentally changes what’s possible in a SOC. By integrating it into Torq HyperSOC-2o, we’re giving our customers the tools to operate faster and smarter than ever before.”
